Nestled in a small valley between Blue Mountain and Rocky Mountain, Moody Hollow benefits from a unique microclimate that is cooled by its altitude, the Hiawassee River, and High Shoals Creek. Our temperatures consistently range eight to ten degrees cooler than those in the Metro Atlanta area, and we tend to be one or two degrees cooler than the nearby town of Hiawassee. This past August, we only had a few days when temperatures reached the 90s, with most nights cooling down to the 60s and 70s.
